Meet Nick Campbell
Nick past and present...
1995 was a good year for me, while based with Mark Todd: 19th Badminton, 6th Achselschwang CCIOYRA. I made the decision to put my eventing career on hold, having some early successes i left to bulid on my knowledge of young horse production. The contrast: a year jumping the thouroughbreds in New Zealand with Vaughn Jeffries, then in at the deep end with both Paul Shockemole & Franke Sloothaak in immense dealing and jumping yards in Germany. We are very fortunate to be based 8 miles form Salisbury racecourse, and local to Alan King (Barbury Castle), for whom we now do pre-training work for his owners. Working with some superb youngsters. With respect to the eventing we have a very promising string, and some fantastic owners, the plan is to remain in Wiltshire and return to four star. Most promising rides at present being Cruising Rangoon, and Trevenning both big late maturing geldings, with all the ability needed, just need a little luck on the way. I have several horses out of training that I would rate as genuine atheletes, and fortunately a patient, understanding owner in Linda Scott who loves to give the horses the time needed.
